Beginning with how my song made people feel many of the first impressions were trippy and some people felt as if they were hallucinating. Specifically, the echoing sounds make the composition feel eerie and suspenseful. Another said it felt like an echoey effect made it feel suspenseful. The different clips myself and others felt to be put together nicely. When I think back to creating the piece my goal was a trippy and suspenseful vibe which came across well. I used whistling and a singing bowl multiple times in the competition because I felt it went very well with almost everything. Layering on top of those sounds was also very satisfying. A suggestion I received was doing more overlaps of sounds and having more fades on the sounds to fade in and out more. The song gets gradually weirder and creepier as it goes on, I got complimented on the breathing and creaky door and the barking really added to the composition. Another critique received was an overuse of the echoing as well as some of the sounds being cut off really quickly which in turn made it difficult to hear, one way I can fix this is using more of a fader when going in and out of sounds. Overall the song made many people feel on edge or tripping meaning I got my communication across effectively. I thoroughly enjoyed Project 2 due to the endless possibility of results and the beautiful and emotion-filled songs we got in the end.
